Thanks to all who make National Day of Prayer Boerne a rich time of prayer and praise to God. The Boerne Prays team is planning for the next National Day of Prayer, which is annually the first Thursday in May. The next National Day of Prayer will be Thursday May 6, 2027.

Plan on attending with friends and family. We are looking forward to three God-honoring events:

  • Mayor's Prayer Breakfast (tickets only)
  • Gazebo Gathering (all welcome)
  • Light Up the Square (youth-led event)

Since 1952 the United States Congress has designated the first Thursday in May a National Day of Prayer for Americans "to turn to God in prayer and meditation". The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year encouraging Americans to pray on this day.

Boerne Prays is planning for the National Day of Prayer, Thursday May 7, 2026. This is a historic year that marks the 75th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer. The year's theme is,

“Glorify God among the nations; Seek Him in all generations” (1 Chron 16:24)

  • Light Up the Square (7 pm, Main Plaza, Boerne)
